Special Announcement

Dear Friends,

As we begin the appellate process, we are honored to announce that our family has retained Cliff Gardner and Lawrence Gibbs to handle Scott's habeas proceedings. Both Mr. Gardner and Mr. Gibbs have post-conviction practices that include representing state defendants on direct appeal, and on both state and federal habeas proceedings.
 
In last month's newsletter we outlined the state appellate process, which normally begins with the direct appeal then is followed by the habeas. Scott has about a four year wait to be assigned an attorney by the state for his direct appeal. Mr. Gardener and Mr. Gibbs will continue our on-going investigation through the habeas proceedings while we wait. We feel this is the most effective pursuit of justice for Laci, Conner and Scott.
