On January 13, 2003, Scott gave notice to the landlord for the Tradecorp warehouse. Scott indicated in his Notice to Vacate that he would be out of the warehouse by February 12. Scott made arrangements for the Tradecorp product to be warehoused at a distribution center and he rented a storage unit on January 27 to store all the office equipment, furniture and some personal items from the warehouse. Scott was seen loading boxes into the storage facility on February 8. Below is a photo of the storage facility that was taken during the February 18 search warrant:
As you can see from the photo, the storage unit is quite full. Scott and Laci’s home did not have a garage so the remaining items from the warehouse that did not fit in the storage unit ended up in their house. These items included a futon sofa and three office chairs. The futon sofa ended up in their second bedroom and the office chairs ended up in the nursery. The first photo below shows the second bedroom during the 12-26-2002 search warrant, the second photo shows the second bedroom with the futon in it during the second search warrant on 02-18-2003. The photos show that the bed had been removed from the second bedroom and the futon sofa had been put where the bed was.

The next two photos show the view through the front window of the house. The first photo is from the first search warrant and shows a clear view into the house through the front window. The second photo from the February search warrant shows that the mattresses from the second bedroom have been propped up in front of the window, blocking the view of on-lookers into the house.

This next photo shows the condition of the nursery during the February search warrant. Three chairs from Scott’s office have been rolled into the nursery and on top of the rocking chair is the red and blue bedding from the second bedroom.
